AN74 / PREPARE FOR TOMORROW

Why AN74?

When everyday life is interrupted, the missing piece is not always equipment. It is often a familiar point of reference.

An ordinary evening, until the lights go out

This scene is fictional. Alex is an illustrative character, not the founder or a real witness.

Alex gets home late. The lights will not turn on. The phone is nearly empty, the torch is somewhere in a drawer, and nobody knows where the batteries are. Nothing spectacular. Just the uncomfortable feeling of owning plenty of things while being unable to find what matters.

The next day, Alex does not buy a complete kit. Instead, a drawer gets emptied, a list gets written and someone close is shown where the essentials are. This small change expresses the idea behind AN74: replace improvisation with useful habits.

AN: Autonomy & Nature

Autonomy means learning to do more with what you already have. Nature means observing conditions, recognising limits and choosing appropriate equipment. At home or outside, a skill understood is worth more than an object forgotten.

7 needs to keep in view

  1. Drinking.
  2. Eating.
  3. Shelter and suitable protection.
  4. Lighting.
  5. Finding your way.
  6. Preparing first aid with appropriate training.
  7. Staying connected and helping one another.

This editorial framework is not an official standard or a recommendation for 74 hours of supplies.

4 habits for making progress

  1. Observe your situation and actual needs.
  2. Prepare a simple system.
  3. Test what you know how to use, in safe conditions.
  4. Share useful information and limitations.

Trust has to be earned

A buyer review is not universal proof. An impressive video is not a test protocol. AN74 states what has been researched, what has been checked and what remains unknown. Our aim is a small selection of understandable, useful and documented equipment.

AN74: fewer impulse purchases, more useful habits.
